Elizabeth "Lib" McLoughlin

Elizabeth “Lib” McLoughlin of Barrington has been an ardent supporter of the game of golf for more than 50 years. She twice served as president of the Rhode Island Women’s Golf Association (1959 and 1977-1979) and has remained very involved in the organization over the years.

She was appointed to the United States Golf Association’s Women’s Mid-Amateur Committee in 1986 and served for 10 years, attending several Mid-Amateur Championships as an official. Lib has been a member of Rhode Island Country Club since the 1940s and twice won the women’s club championship. Her greatest pleasure in golf resulted from her involvement in girl’s junior golf, helping to develop the highly successful RIWGA program.
